Two charged with helping MovieTowne murder accused to escape

POLICE have charged Matthew King with the MovieTowne murder of Jamilia Shinelle DeRevenaux. Two men who alleged helped him escape, have also been charged.

King, 30, an unemployed man of Chinapoo, Morvant, will be taken before a Port of Spain Magistrate charged with the February 5 killing.

Polcie have also charged Christopher O'Connor, of La Fillette, Blanchisseuse, and Jamal Lewis, of Arima Old Road, Arima and Laventille –with perverting the course of justice in relation to an allegation they sought to aid the accused in his escape.

DeRevenaux was found with her throat slit in the covered car port at Movie Towne Port of Spain.

King was arrested by police on Friday.
