Bullet-riddled body found at midnight

...discovered by cops at Dumfries Road


THE BODY OF an unidentified man riddled with gunshot wounds was discovered in La Romaine on Thursday.

Police believe that the man was killed that day and his body dumped in the area.

The body was discovered at Dumfries Road by officers of the Court and Process Department on exercise duty shortly before midnight.

Police said the victim was clad in brown t-shirt, brown three quarter pants and slippers.

He was one of three men killed on Thursday.

Car wash owner Naresh Bhawanie and his employee Sterling Joseph were shot dead at the businessplace in Chaguanas at around midday.

Autopsies are expected to be conducted on the bodies on Friday at the Forensic Sciences Centre.

Officers of Homicide Region III are investigating.

The killing took the murder toll to 77 in 48 days, according to an Express tally.
