It’s not suited for T&T *


REAL estate valuator Mark Farrell has scrutinised Government's method of determining the tax rate property owners must pay under the current property tax regime.

Farrell, who is a director of the GA Farrell and Associates­—a firm comprising chartered valuation surveyors­—says while he agrees that the tax is necessary for raising the country's revenue, the system is not suited for Trinidad and Tobago. Farrell was speaking yesterday at a Property Tax symposium hosted by the Institute of Banking and Finance and the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago at the Hilton Hotel, St Ann's.
